Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next
secret weapon. A
happiness weapon. A beauty bomb. And every time a crisis
developed,
we would launch one. It would explode high in the air - explode
softly
- and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the
air.
Floating down to earth - boxes of Crayolas. And we wouldn't go
cheap,
either - not little boxes of eight. Boxes of sixty-four, with the
sharpener built right in. With silver and gold and copper,
magenta and
peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest. And people
would
smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world
with imagination.

When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth
and love has always won. There have been murderers and tyrants,
and for a time they can seem invincible. But in the end they
always fall. Think of this always.

Youth is the first victim of war; the first fruit of peace. It takes 20
years or more of peace to make a man; it takes only 20 seconds of war
to destroy him.

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten

We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the

Hay algo tan necesario como el pan de cada día,
y es la paz de cada día, la paz sin la cual el mismo pan es
amargo.
(There is something as necessary as the daily
bread, and that is the daily peace, without that peace the bread is
bitter.)

Peace is a gift, it is a gift we give to ourselves, and then to each

You can't shake hands with a clenched fist.

Misunderstanding arising from ignorance breeds fear, and fear remains
the greatest enemy of peace.
~*~Lester B. Pearson~*~
Nothing is more useless in developing a nation's economy than a gun,
and nothing blocks the road to social development more than the
financial burden of war. War is the arch enemy of national progress and
the modern scourge of civilized man.
